Compassionate Friends Benches Located at the Salem Church Library, in Spotsylvania, is this memorial of 3 benches (unfortunately more will be added later). On the sides of the benches are the names of children killed in Spotsylvania.  More >>

Maryland Brigade Monument

Maryland Brigade Monument This monument was erected some time around the early 1900's by Judge Charles Phelps. This monument is to mark where the 7th Maryland Brigade started their charge across the field and past Brock Road.Charles Phelps, then a colonel in the army was wounded near this spot.

Butterfield Monument

At the end of Sunken Road in the City, is the Fredericksburg National Cemetary. Just beyond the gates of the Cemetary is the Fifth Corps / Butterfield Monument. This monument is dedicated to "The valor of the Fifth Corps, Army of the Potomac. It was erected by Major General Daniel Butterfield.

Humphrey's Monument This statue, located near the center of the cemetary, was erected by the State of Pennsylvania to commemorate the brave, but futile, charge by Humphrey's Division of V Corps. The engraving on this particular statue is very interesting. All the letter "U"'s are engraved as "V"'s.
