oldest town in the Commonwealth of Virginia, having received its charter

Town of Occoquan
The picturesque
town of Occoquan is located just 20 miles south of Washington D.C. and
is home to 31 residents. The The population of Occoquan is approximately
361. Tiny town covering less that a half of a square mile is home to over
200 residents Occoquan is just off I-95 at exit 160.

Town of Quantico
The small town
of Quantico (population just under 700) is the only town in the United
States which is completely surrounded by a military reservation (Quantico
Marine Corps Base). The town only covers only a few acres of land and is
approximately 30 miles from Washington D.C. You must enter and pass through
the Quantico Marine Corps Base (http://www.quantico.usmc.mil/)
to get to the town. In contrast the Marine Corps Base (Quantico is one
of the country's largest Marine Corps installations.) encompasses over
60,000 acres of land and is home to over 12,000 people.
