The Miss Fredericksburg
Fair contest has been a tradition at the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair
for more than 50 years. The pageant is currently organized and ran by Ms.
Kelly Maynor, "Miss Fredericksburg Fair 1984". The 2000 Senior pageant had
17 contestants. The young ladies are judged in Interview, Casual Wear Modeling
and Evening Gown. After the three levels of competition, the 17 young ladies were narrowed down to 5. The final five were then judged on a speech. The judges had a hard time choosing the winner and needed the ladies
to present themselves to the judges two more times. The final choice was in, and the runner-ups were announced before the winner.
The winner was 18 year old Pamela Dickerson of Spotsylvania County.
