The 2000 Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair was host to the annual Firefighters
Competition. This competition consists of several events to test the speed
and agility of the firefighters. Some of the events include: One-Person
Hose, Four-Person Ladder, Six-Person Ladder & Dressing, Two-Person
Air Pack and the Tug of War. This year only two fire departments competed
in all the events. The overall winner was Orange Fire Department.
